French Fry's Dreamcatcher Blanket

Here it is - my very first granny square blanket:

Voilà - ma toute première couverture en granny :

dreamcatcher blanket

Pattern: Dream Catcher by Sherri Welch (Ravelry link)
Yarn: Lion Brand Wool Ease Sprinkles in Hunter Green and Navy
Hook: 5.00 mm
Started: June 2008
Finished: 3/9/08

I am really happy with how this came out. I crocheted the squares together with a simple slip stitch and did the border in half-double crochet.

Je suis bien contente du résultat. J'ai crocheté les grannys ensemble tout simplement avec les mailles glissés et j'ai fait la bordure en demi bride.

I think it will be a great size for using in the car, the stroller, or just around the house. The best part is that this project has given me the confidence to continue in crochet and try different techniques. I think I can say now that I am a knitter and a crocheter!

So pretty! You are so very talented, my dear. :)

BTW, I think Rowan's finally big enough for the sweater you made (little red riding hood.) I can't wait for her to wear it! I'll send pictures. :D

Your yarn choice turned out to be perfect for this. Neat.

Wow! You're having one lucky baby! I like that the colours aren't pastel... this is a blankie that he can proudly use all of his life.
