Hooray, the socks are finished!

Ouais, les chaussettes sont finis !



Pattern: Monkey by Cookie A.
Yarn: Socks that Rock Lightweight in Rare Gem
Needles: Addi Lace 2.5 mm circulars (magic loop method)
Started: 23/10/08
Finished: 23/01/09

I finished the first sock the day before French Fry was born and worked on the second sock in the maternity. The one nice thing that came from being so ill and having to stay nine days in the hospital was chatting with the nurses, midwives and other assistants about knitting and the other conversations that started thanks to this sock. For obvious reasons, these socks will always remind me of a very special time.

J’ai fini la première chaussette le jour avant la naissance de French Fry et j’ai travaillé sur la deuxième à la maternité. La seule chose de bien qui me soit arrivée en étant malade et coincée à la maternité pendant neuf jours a été de parler avec les infirmières, les sages femmes et les autres, de tricot. En fait, toutes les conversations ont commencé grâce à cette chaussette. Il est clair que ces chaussettes me rappelleront toujours un temps très spécial.

I have a completely new project that I want to start soon, but first I'm going to put some time into Stéph's sweater, that I haven't even looked at in ages. It would be nice if he could actually wear it before the weather gets too warm!

J’ai un nouveau projet que je veux commencer bientôt, mais avant ça je vais passer un peu de temps avec le pull de Stéph, que je n’ai même pas regardé depuis longtemps ! Ca serait sympa s’il peut le porter avant qu'il fasse trop chaud !
